John Martyn | Solid Air | Recomendado

JOHN MARTYN es un artista y un músico que se nos presenta a la humanidad cada vez en cuando y nos deja una tanda de material para la posteridad – murió 29 de Enero 2009. Un científico del sonido, un experimentador por naturaleza y un innovador por la gracia de dios, nos crea un álbum que es y será un clásico para todos los tiempos. El disco “SOLID AIR” (1973) está dedicado a su amigo y músico Nick Drake inmerso en una profunda depresión cuando se lanzó y, un álbum pintado con el folk, jazz, blues, rock ...y todo lo que se venía a la cabeza. Un auténtico viaje musical que coincide con el semejante viaje de otro disco del mismo año “Dark Side Of The Moon” de Pink Floyd, aunque con otro rollo y sobre otra película. Intimo, expansivo y contemplativo, nos hace ir hacia dentro para hacernos pensar musicalmente y buscar señales que nos guié por los senderos al refugio para tranquilizarnos y estar pacíficos 35 minutos.

Recomiendo “Solid Air” para buscar y tenerlo, lo recomiendo para escuchar en casa, conduciendo o para fumarse un petardo, lo recomiendo como un álbum de los que hay que tener siempre en una colección seria de discos. No te va defraudar ya que con cada escucha notaras algo nuevo que no estaba presente la última vez. Es simplemente una obra maestra!
