JOY DIVISION | Shawdowplay LIVE

Uno de los cortes que más me gusta del impactante y pionero debut álbum "Unknown Pleasures" de JOY DIVISION es "Shadowplay". El fichaje del creador de "Factory Records" Tony Wilson encendieron la mecha para la "explosión" del "Sonido Manchester" y el movimiento "Independent" – Indie -  (hay que mencionar aquí también a THE BUZZCOCKS) de la industria musical británica.

He encontrado el video de "Shadowplay" (LIVE) en directo, un regalo genial para los amantes de la música y de esta banda. Se aprecia bien el particular sonido de la banda, la personalidad única del cantante Ian Curtis y la línea diferenciador de la oferta musical post-punk de "Joy Division" destacando más las "emociones" y los "estados anímicos" - en particular la melancolía - sobre la "energética rabia" de sus contemporáneos.

JOY DIVISION serían una influencia directa sobre  bandas como U2, The Cure, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails, Interpol, Editors...por mencionar solo algunos.
