El artista y Bluesman LEADBELLY, aka Huddie William Ledbetter (Mooringsport,Louisiana - Enero 20, 1888 – Diciembre 6, 1949) es un GRANDES del BLUES. Ha influenciado generaciones de músicos como Tom Waits, Woody Guthrie, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Kurt Corbain, Van Morrison, Eric Burden, Jack White...etcetera...

Tocaba una guitarra de 12 cuerdas además del piano, violin, harmonica y mandolin. Ayudo expandir (y preservar) las canciones generacionales de sus antepasados, el "American folk song tradition".
