THE LEMONHEADS | Vuelven para 2019

THE LEMONHEADS vuelven con un nuevo álbum - "Varshons II" - previsto para principios del 2019 y acompañado de una gira de conciertos. La cuenta bancaria tiene que estar "tiritando", y mola a los artistas de "ayer" que les adore un público cantando en directo. El álbum está compuesto de versiones de otros artistas y bandas famosetes, incluso había un rumor que Ryan Adams lo iba producir pero parece que se dio para atrás.

Avanzan como single una versión de "Yo La Tengo" - Can't Forget - para ir calentando motores y así motivar los medios especializados vender el disco y las entradas.

BILLIE HOLIDAY era y será una de los talentos más grandes de la historia de la música. El grupo británico THE SAND BAND hace una versión de una de sus canciones "Don´t Explain" donde rara vez se mantiene la misma delicadeza y emoción que en el original.

Excepcional y preciosa interpretación por una banda que ya no están juntos pero tiene bastante material disponible para descubrir. Recomiendo su álbum "All Through The Night", y por supuesto, todo el material de la misma Billie Holiday.

Escuche este tema de hace años tomando un vermú ayer. DUB PISTOLS con el tema "Rapture featuring Terry Hall" (del álbum Speakers & Tweeters). Gran cover-versión de otro clásico por Blondie. Como pasa el tiempo.

THE SAND BAND por motivos que aun se me escapan dejaron de funcionar hace unos años. Una autentica pena por mi parte ya que la banda inglesa es de lo mejor que he escuchado en años. Recomiendo que busques su material en especial el disco "All Through The Night".

Aquí os dejo con uno de sus últimos trabajos, una versión extraordinaria de "Don't Explain" de la legendaria Billy Holiday. Fantástico!

Otra versión de "Stairway To Heaven" de LED ZEPPELIN cantado por Ann & Nancy Wilson ( Heart ) en un homenaje a John Paul Jones, Robert Plant y Jimmy Page. Resulta extraño y emocionante ver los originales como espectadores de su famoso tema y cómo reaccionan. El Presidente Obama es un rockero de corazón.

La interpretación es francamente maravilloso. La canción es simplemente eterno.
