FLEET FOXES | Helplessness Blues | Nuevo Album Mayo 2011

Gracias a la revista online “Pitchfork” tenemos el adelanto y nuevo single de FLEET FOXES que forma parte del muy esperando segundo álbum previsto para el 2 de Mayo 2011. El single se titula como el nombre del disco “Helplessness Blues” y si esto es como el resto del trabajo ya tengo otro disco más como DISCO 2011.

Estoy enamorado del corte, igual de cómo un adolescente ve por primera vez a la rubia o morena del asiento de atrás de la clase. No se si este subidón es efecto de novedad, un calentón o algo más a largo plazo pero ya tengo ansias para el nuevo disco y eso en el Marketing es un 10 de 10. Chapo al grupo, su management y su discográfica americana “Sub Pop”, aunque ayuda siempre una buena canción y esto lo borda.

Mientras me hago “pajas musicales” disfrutando de la letra, las armonías y los delicados sonidos de las guitarras te pongo para tu degustación el video de single que nos muestra la portada de nuevo trabajo. Disfruta y apuntar en tu agenda musical el mes de Mayo…

PETE & THE PIRATES | Calentando el Nuevo Disco de Mayo

Los ingleses PETE & THE PIRATES están calentando motores con un single que pertenece al nuevo y segundo disco aun sin nombre oficial ya que esta previsto salir en mayo del 2011. Tenemos el video del single “Winter 1” que salio en Dic 2011 y nos da una buena pista de donde van a ir los tiros. De todas formas tenemos a nuestra disposición el disco debut “Life Death” (2008) que fue una joya de música si complejos, simple y llenos de “hooks” (ganchos) pop. Esta disponible por los sitios habituales si quieres investigar más sobre estos cachondos ( gente con sentido de humor) que ofrecen música divertida y sin la necesidad de ser serio y tener “cara de nabo”. A ver que te parece…hasta que no escuchemos todo el nuevo trabajo...

JOHN BARRY | DEP Astronauta

No se ponía pantalones ajustados para enseñar paquete con sus pelos largos en un escenario, no tocaba la guitarra con su lengua, no bebía three cajas de Whiskey antes de un concierto para actuar, no salía con Kate Moss para limpiar las paredes de un estudio de grabación con la lengua, no tiraba televisiones por las ventanas de hoteles, no salía de fiesta con Slash y tampoco tocaba el culo a Elton John - o al menos no me enterado. El británico JOHN BARRY a fallecido con 77 años dejando una carrera musical que pocos estrellas del rock , pop o cualquier otro arte podría imaginar en su vida.

Lo suyo era la composición y su fuerte era para las películas. Su fama viene de ser el compositor de la música de las películas James Bond, pero eso era solo el pico del "iceberg". Múltiples y larga lista de premios y super aclamado este señor de la música era un auténtico astronauta del universo musical. Un gigante de tremendo creatividad y talento.
